A Benefit Yard Sale is Scheduled for Saturday August 16!
Yard Sale to benefit the Green River Library at Green's Six Oaks Truck Stop on Rte 25. Spaces will
be $5.00 each. Bring your own tables and chairs and other items you may need for your booth.. We
will have a limited number of electrical connections available for you but they will be assigned on a
first-come first-served basis. We will also have a table for donations to the Library and items for sale
from the Library. All items not sold will be donated to a local charity. Please contact Joan Street at

Green River Heritage Day is on September 27, 2008
September 27th is our 5th Annual Heritage Day. The location will be at Green's Six Oaks Truck Stop
on Rte 25. Be sure to come and visit with others in the community. We will have food, ice cream,
and local crafters. There will be live animals and a real blacksmith. If you have some things to sell
or display, just call Karen at 828-694-3638 to arrange for a spot. Booths are free(donations accepted
cheerfully) and the crowds will be big this year so be sure to come.

Feedback on the first edition of the Green River News was positive. Future editions
will use electronic distribution and will be available on the web site.
