Since the property across from the boat dock on Lake Summit is for sale , what excuse will the
commissioners come up with for not buying it?

ANSWER.............
Carl,
The answer is really quite simple.  It will take $700,000 to purchase the property.  It appraises for
substantially less than the selling price.  Not to mention that the County has several other obligations to
fulfill before we get something.   Now if we were to all write to the commissioners and let them know what
a lovely job they are doing at ignoring the Zirconia residents, maybe, just maybe something might happen.

The short answer Carl, is that the property does not appraise high enough.

We are owners and founders of Night Song Refuge, a wolf/wolfdog
sanctuary in the community.  We also house several different types of
canines.  We would love to become an active participant in the community,
community events and the association.  We are available to educate both
adults and children on various wildlife indigenous to the area.  We strongly
believe taking care of the community and it's natural environment go hand
and hand. Please feel free to contact us.

1.  I think that a GRCA member should have a Zirconia address. NOT Flat Rock. Since they did away with
Tuxedo (for some of us).

2.  Whoever did the Green River Township Facts needs to do their homework and get the correct
information on Churches, streams and cemeteries in our area.

3.  What percent of the officers and members have computers and do email?  It would be interesting to
know this.

The presentation delivered at the County Commissioner’s meeting on May 5 was reviewed and approved by
the GRCA Board.  Prior to that, an email was sent to all GRCA members for whom we have email
addresses.  This email solicited opinions on the Cobblestone question.  There were few responses but the
majority of them opposed extending water to Cobblestone.

The GRCA position presented to the Commissioners focused primarily on the failure of the planning
process used by the County that led to the Cobblestone problem and the fact that developers and new
residents get benefits while the current residents get no benefits.

Your point that a reliable water supply would be an asset to some residents is a valid one.  We would like to
hear from residents with similar views to see if there is a way to satisfy this without getting widespread
development with it.

The presentation to the Commissioners was made by Larry Rostetter, a member of the GRCA, who also
lives in Kenmure.  The part of Kenmure south of Pinnacle Mountain Road is in the Green River Community
and has approximately 100 residents at this time.  The presentation was to be delivered by a member of the
GRCA Board but he became ill shortly after starting and Larry stepped in to deliver the rest of the
presentation.   Larry is a volunteer who has been supporting GRCA by maintaining our web site.

Residents of Kenmure, Pinnacle Falls and Cobblestone are a part of the Green River Community.  GRCA can
do a better job in representing community needs if we engage all of the residents of the community to work
toward common goals.

Comment:

When the position of the GRCA was presented to the County Commissioners on Monday night, was this the
position of the majority of the members of the GRCA?

I think that to have a reliable source of water available to this area would be an asset to the residents of our
community. I don't believe that a Kenmure resident can relate to the needs of the people who live in Green
River/Tuxedo etc. area
